Vin Tangpricha, MD, PhD

Dr. Tangpricha completed received his BA degree from Case Western Reserve University and his M.D. degree from Tufts University. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Clinical Endocrinology fellowship at Boston University/Boston Medical Center. After his fellowship, he completed a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine at Boston University. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Lipids. His clinical and research interests include vitamin D, calcium and bone disorders and sex hormone replacement therapy. He has a special interest in the hormonal treatment of transgender individuals. He served on the Endocrine Society Taskforce for Guidelines for Treatment of Transsexual Persons which published Endocrine Guidelines for Treatment of Transsexual Persons in 2009. He is also an active member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
