My name is Sam and Im 25 years old and 2 and half years ago I lost my ability to have erections, no clue why. It was a long process of many doctors and grief but eventually in may of 2011 I was referred to Dr.Goldstein where he was able to diagnose me with a damaged pudendal artery that was damaging blood flow. With much wrangling with insurance and preliminary tests, Dr. Goldstein said that i was a good candidate for an arterial bypass surgery.

This past tuesday I was wheeled in to the operating room around 7am where the surgery took around 5 hours at which time I was sent to recovery. Still under the affects of the anesthesia I was hazy but the doctor had told my parents that the surgery had been routine and that i was to spend the night in the hospital. After taking several pain killers and a shot of morphine I slept decently that night. However the next morning due to nausea I couldnt walk and had to spend 1 more night in the hospital which allowed me more time to grab my bearings. After no painkillers for the reset of the night I was discharged around 840 am thanks to Dr. Goldstein getting me up to walk and the nurses at night.

Went over to the Doctors office where I received I sonogram that showed the blood flow of the artery and was glad to see the Doctors always positive attitude. According to the Doctor I set to go home afterward. My stomach though was descended and bloated from the painkillers which was not comfortable. The doctors use of a new painkilling drug in the incision area had made movement much improved the doctor said in regards to other patients, was very grateful for this. Later that day I was able to walk slowly at home with a walker but eventually under my own power. The first bowel movement came around 7 pm which I suggest warm liquids to any future patients as this made it a faster time to release the bowels.

Sleeping was more comfortable without so much gas and was able to get out of bed during the night without much assistance. So far the operation has been manageable with all the wonderful blessings of the Doctor, nurses, God, family and friends. Be posting more after Christmas and feel free anybody to ask questions more than willing to be there for potential patients as those who preceded me were so generous with their time and stories.

Hey sorry for the late updates. So far everything has been going good. Was finally able to eat solid food 4 days after surgery and feasted during Christmas eve with the family. Digestion and bowel movements continue to be slow but with so much going on in the body it can be expected. Both incisions have been relatively painless except for laughing and certain abrupt movements that cause the stomach a little ache.

Sleep has been good but have a little nervousness with taking the viagra as it does cause a mildly painful erection which is a good thing to experience but can be jarring during the night. Went to see the Doctor on new years eve day and the progress he said was good which was an ease off some concerns as new sensations make you question whats going on in your body. For exercise walking has been wonderful but there is tightness some of the times but nothing like pain. Been diligent about making sure the areas around the cuts have been clean so as warning to others washing with out a shower can be somewhat a task. As things are going along doing what I can to take in the positive feelings that people are giving and the support system that im blessed to have be surrounded by. If anybody has any questions don’t hesitate to ask and be updating further in the coming days. best wishes to all during the new year and hope it is safe and memorable for everybody.

It is almost three weeks since the operation and things are good so far. Still having some issues with bowel movements but getting better. Walking as much as possible but the muscle in the stomach tighten sometimes and get drowsy for a nap which is a good thing. Sometimes get odd tingling feelings in the abdomen and groin which I hope is merely the wounds healing but nothing that has been painful. If getting the surgery drink lots of water for some unknown cause I have been thirsty as if it is extremely hot out but it must be the bodies response to something. Being positive with the help of God, friends and family and look forward to the next check up with the Doctor. If anybody questions glad to be of use to answering what I can and thank you to all reading.

Sorry that I didn’t get to chat with you before you had surgery. You made the right decision! I started seeing my girlfriend a couple weeks before you replied to my post, and I forgot all about posting!

I just gave some updates on my post on the forum. I’d reread it from time to time since I spent a lot of time on it. And always talk to Dr. Goldstein if you have any questions. His staff is great! The stiffness, soreness, swelling, and all of the weird sensations in the penis and abdomen lasted about 3 months. I’m 6 months out, and I still feel my new artery pulsing in my abdomen when I sit or lay a certain way. All completely normal. I take an 81mg baby aspirin pretty much every day just to be on the safe side since I’ve always been paranoid my new artery would clot off! Well, it hasnt! haha Don’t stress over or expect anything to happen cause your mind is the only thing that is gonna mess with your erections now!

Good luck!

Thanks for the encouragement and the advice it was meaningful beyond words and hope your recovery is going amazing so far. The mental aspect is a big part of the surgery which you are not completely prepared for so the talk has been such a huge boost to how I feel physically as well. As a question does anybody get a hot and then cold sensation in the penile or incision areas and then suddenly goes away? Hope all is good for everybody and going to give a post this week. Best wishes to all out there.

Hey everybody hope you are all good. The past couple days have been a little trying. I went in on tuesday for my 4 week check in and everything looked good so far the Doctor said which was cool. The pain in the abdomen has subsided and able to move quite a bit. The doctor said to take watching porn for blood flow which and not to do anything with it. Not a problem there but the it self ejaculated and was quite a scare. the same thing happened the next day and dont know if anybody else has had this occur. Since then though I have had diminished sensation in the penis, a more difficult time achieving an erection or lack of fulness that was present before this occurred and a lack of morning erections with viagra. Hopefully this only a phase in the recovery process and hope and pray that no damage has been done to any of the anatomy. Iam sorry for the late posting but will continue to do so. Best wishes to all out there and hope the year brings many blessings.

It is week 5 since the surgery and things are going okay. There was a period where the penis became contracted and lost feeling but the doctor said that the artery was alright. During the fifth week had to go to school which was awkward having to sit for a long period of time and slightly uncomfortable but not bad. The lower abdomen became tighter maybe due to the healing process, weight gain or so other aspect but it was change from previous weeks but nothing overly concerning other than it restricted my walking which has decreased since the change in symptoms.

There has been times when more sensation and blood are present but they come and go more easily but there presence is encouraging from having a total lack for some days. If anybody else as I had changes in their condition like it would be worth hearing and also my hip has started be a bit tighter but pain has been lacking which is a positive aspect to the recovery. Still sensations can be confusing and for some reason I get sudden feelings of being cold but that may be due to the weather. bowel movements still are not completely normal but have improved steadily from where they once were so that is a big plus to the condition. Hope everybody is doing good and doing what is possible to stay in positive frame of mind which is what family and the good Doctor have been so supportive of doing. Have to thank friends, God,the doctor and family for being there in such a crucial time. Best wishes to all out there with hope that if there is anything to contribute I will keep posting to let people know how things are. Good luck to everybody and many blessings.

Hey everybody its been 6 weeks since the surgery. The Doctor on Monday cleared me for all physical activities and said the artery was looking good. i was very glad to hear this and excited for future prospects. Though as recently posted following my 4 week check which at the time I had noticed greater fulness in both the penis and genitals which had not been present since before the surgery and increased sensation in the entire region, i have had much more reduced fulness and lack of sensation. Also at the time my ability to get erections was like brand new with getting either through mere visual stimulation or thinking sexual thoughts.

Since then though both aspects have decreased as both size and sensitivity have diminished and the ability to achieve spontaneous erections or coaxed erections has been incapable or more difficult. Morning erections also become inconsistent but do occur with much less fulness and regularity. An example the day after being cleared I masturbated for the first time since before the operation and was unable to get a firm erection but have had some since then. As the Doctor said there will be ups and downs in the process especially with a major surgery but God willing I may have the results I was experiencing several weeks ago or something approximating that. If anybody else experienced a similar recovery I would interested to hear the circumstances. Hopefully it is a phase of the recovery as many have said and work putting my mind to ease. I have been blessed with the best of circumstances so far with everything must be prepared to endure some minor bumps in the road. Another thing I have noticed feelings of coldness or rushes cold in the groin area and for the penis to be cold to the touch I couldnt explain but hope everything is undamaged and healthy. Want wish all those out there the best and if anybody has questions Im more than willing to talk or respond as soon as I can. Thank you to God, family, friends, the Doctor, his staff and everybody else who have been so amazing and hope to make this a wonderful experience. Best wishes to you all and have a blessed day and will continue to make posts.

Hello everybody sorry for the lapse in posting last week. Its been nearly 8 weeks since surgery and things are positive but a little strange. Recently been having the sensations of cold and some pain in the penis and erections had been more difficult to get along with the loss of sensations. However after seeing the Doctor he confirmed the artery was good and that what I had been experiencing was most likely due to pelvic floor and muscle issues. It was quite a relief to know there was no permanent harm or damage and that it was a treatable condition.

With the uncertainty and the odd feelings I had scaled back on activity and limited myself to walking shorter distances but the Physical Therapist said that it would take time and that the pelvic floor would be okay by adding new limited physical activities and range of motions which I had been hesitant to try. After a session with the Physical Therapist who was very helpful and kind, I was a little tender but feeling much more relaxed in my abdomen and groin and had had glimpses of the sensations I had at week 4 which was so worth the treatment and soreness. As with all things that are worth doing it is a process and Im grateful to have such amazing care and support from the Doctor, the staff, family, God and friends and will continue to get better with everybodys immense patience and help. Thank you to everybody and I will keep posting and happy to talk with anybody with questions. Best wishes to everybody and keep having a spectacular year.

Hey everybody its been 10 weeks since surgery and some things have changed others have stayed the same. Went to the gym and did low impact exercise and lifted light weights which felt awkward but is step in the positive direction hopefully. The nausea of last week has been less pronounced but had more tightness in abdomen and groin especially after the gym which also caused sensation to go away at times. Morning erections are at least occurring on half the days of the week so hoping that those eventually become everyday occurrences but should not expect drastic change in short spans but rather over longer time stretches. Attempting be more active with walking and having to lift more items with work duties.

Several days was able to have spontaneous erections which was good but need more work on the scar tissue and muscles in the pelvic floor to increase their strength and chances of happening. Have to stay focused and hope that all is good. Thank you to everybody and Im still willing to answer any questions for those reading or merely to talk. Thank you to my Family, the Doctor, ,my Friends and God for all that I have been blessed with wish the best for all of you. Will keep posting and best of wishes to all of you and enjoy the week.

Hey everybody hope all is good. It is week 11 since the surgery and its been a more difficult week in some regards. Have had a lack of sensation and and more contraction of the genitals this week but the nausea has been gone. Around the stomach incision had random sensations between good feelings and discomfort.

Have been more active with walking and lifting objects and hopefully this is not causing any harmful effects and unfortunately went to a concert and got slammed by people, was sore in the incision area following which I hope is okay and not any trouble but temporary pain. Was able to ave more spontaneous erections this week which is positive but there has been a differing degree to sensitivity and fullness in these so that is something to think about. If anyone else who has had this had taken a hit or strain on the abdomen following surgery and what were any consequences I would be interested to hear and would appreciate the advice. The lesson is be careful and put yourself in a safe situation. Wish you all the best everybody and thank you always to my family the Doctor, God and friends who are a blessing. Will be posting and welcome to hear anybody’s questions or to talk. Best wishes to all of you.

Hello everybody hope all is good for those out there. It is week 12 since surgery and have had a somewhat tiring week. There has been a lack of morning erections this week which is somewhat scary but hopefully is part of the healing. The lack of sensation has been present but have had several spontaneous erections during this week so that is positive news. Have found tightness in the abdomen and upper groin to be not as painful but range of movement has increased. With physical activities have been walking and lifted light weights but no real pains involved with this.

Have had a little trouble sleeping this week which maybe the time change and that could be affecting this situation. Hope to keep moving in a positive direction and to have physical therapy soon to help with the scar tissue and pelvic tone. If anybody has questions please feel open to asking and thank you. Want to thank the family, doctor, God and friends for all that they have helped and supported with and will continue to post best of luck to everybody and have a good day enjoying more sunlight.

Hey everybody it has been 13 weeks since surgery and it has been a strange week. Most days this week I have failed to get a morning erection and have a had a loss of feelings in my genitals most of the time but occasionally have had a return of feeling. Experienced soreness in the stomach incision area but no definitive pain so hopefully this a part of the scar tissue being not a problem but do not know if this is the cause. several nights I was able to have night erections but without much sensation in the genitals but I take this a positive for the purpose that an erection can occur. Have turned to sleeping my side again at nights which had not done since before the surgery so hope that is not anything to be worried about.

There has been tightness in the abdomen but have been attempting to be more active by increasing my movements and light exercises during the week. Lifted light weights and walked primarily and hopefully this is a step in a proper direction. The primary thing to remember is to keep my health regarding the surgery and to remain positive. If there is any questions by anybody please ask and thank you to my family, the doctor, God and my friends for the help. Hope all is wonderful everybody and will post soon and best wishes.

Hello everybody hope all is wonderful. It has been 14 weeks since the surgery and the week has been mixed so far. There has been a lack of sensation and feeling the genitals but there has been occasional feelings. The contracted appearance and feel has not gone away but pain has been reduced. There has been tightness in the abdomen as well which may be contributing to the genital situation of being contracted more so than usual. As the morning erections have been infrequent out of the past week there has been one morning erection and 1 or 2 night erections which I hope is positive and that they will continue to improve. during the day there has been several spontaneous erections they have not been as full or as sensitive as they have been at certain times but they do occur is hopefully a good step.

When talking about activity i have been lifting light weights no more than 10 pounds and have been walking at a faster pace so hopefully this helps general health and would improve feelings of fatigue that have been present. Putting the surgery health ahead of athletic shape is not easy but is more important and should be something to consider as necessary. There has been some feelings of coldness in the genitals and legs which may be the scar tissue situation but have to ask the doctor and physical therapist to be confirmed as the cause. Went out of viagra and have been using cialis this past week without notable side effects and hope it is having the same required purpose. Hope that everybody is good out there and I want to thank the family, doctor,God and friends for their support in this time. if anybody has any questions please ask and i will do what i can to be timely and honest with any discussion or advice. Best wishes and blessing to everybody this weekend and I will keep the posts going. Wish everybody a blessed Easter and Passover and hope the year is filled with happiness for all of you.

Hey everybody its been 15 weeks since the surgery and have some new developments. Went to visit the doctor on Thursday to get medication and visit with the physical therapist for a session to help with the scar tissue and pelvic floor situations. Lately I had not been having morning erections consistently and was a bit worried about this. The doctor said that can occur but that the sonogram I got showed the artery is healthy. With the physical therapy session with the physical therapist I was given new stretches and activities to do to help improve mobility and general health as im hoping to get in a healthier state due to eating unhealthy and the continued lack of strenuous exercise which I do not want to cause any complication with the surgery. I have had occasional spontaneous erections which is a positive but there is no consistency yet with these and there is still a lack of sensation and fullness at certain times but hope this is a step for better feelings. I was able to have a definite morning erection today so that is a happy occurrence. The incision site and the genital still go through numbness but it can be felt most of the time so this may be only a stage in the recovery process.

My activity range has been increased as I have continued to walk, hike, lift light weights and walk on an elliptical at the gym. The physical therapist said to take things in stages and that each step is to make the body more accustomed to these things and I do not want to do anything which would be compromising to healthiness as that is the purpose for the exercises. Sleep has been better this week and have started to sleep on my side so that is more comfortable but it does cause a little more tightness in the abdomen so it will be a see how you feel situation with how sleep to appropriately in the evening. If anybody has suggestions on how they got fit following surgery or had a dietary or exercise regimen that was beneficial to the health of the artery or the body in general please give a suggestion it would be appreciated greatly. Hope everybody has had wonderful holidays of Easter and Passover with loved ones and are having a fantastic day. Want to thank the family, doctor, God, friends and all those who have experienced this or are in the process and wish you all the best. Take care and will continue to post if anybody has questions or wants to talk im available and would be happy to be of assistance. Best wishes to everybody and be safe and enjoy the spring weather.

Hey everybody hope all is good for you and it has been 16 weeks since surgery. The past week has seen different feelings and things happen regarding the surgery. This week I have had more morning erections but sensation continues to be present and then it becomes lessened at times. There has been more tightness in the abdomen and some pain but hopefully it is not an issue. There has also been some contracting in the genitals but could be due to stress or being uncomfortable. This past week I also was unable 1 night to take the nightly viagra and Im still worried if this was a problem for the artery or surgery. Im working at changing my diet to be more healthy as not to cause any trouble with the artery and have also been more active walking and lifting objects. If anybody has suggestions for this please give advice it most appreciated and thank you for listening. There will be difficult times and maybe this is a time when that is going on but it will hopefully get better and patience will be involved.

Thank you to everybody for reading and I will continue posting these. I want to thank my family ,the doctor,God and friends for the support and caring. Wish you all the best and keep enjoying the beautiful time we have this spring.

sjuliano

Hey everybody it has been 17 weeks since surgery and the last week has seen more physical activity and some pains associated with this. Lately I have been walking more and lifting light weights but at the incision site in the stomach it has caused some soreness and also the genitals have been contracted at times. There has been more morning erections but less spontaneous erections on some days but this hopefully is part of the healing involved. The sight of the abdominal incision gets tighter in the evenings and I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this. The move to sleeping on my sides may be contributing. There has been some soreness in the genitals but not anything as painful as what was occurring so that is a positive situation.

As there has been more mobility Im seeing whether this is causing any complication with the surgery and hopefully it is not and can be active during the day. With this I have to be hopeful of the surgery and safety and do what I can to be healthier. I want to thank family,God, the doctor and my friends for all the help and support that have made this possible and their care. If anybody has any questions please let me know and wish all of you the enjoyment of the weather and many blessings. Best wishes to all of you.

Hey everybody it s been 18 weeks since surgery and the last week has been good but with some different experiences. There has been more tightness in the abdomen and some spasm like feelings but I have been more active at the gym and walking. Hopefully this is not a bad reaction but of the body adjusting to more mobility. I have had less spontaneous erections but having morning erections is occurring some days during the week which is good. The tightness in the incision and the related tenderness has been slightly more with the gym activity but have to ask if this is normal from other people who have had the surgery and of anybody has information that would interesting to hear about. There appears to be more tightness during driving cars so maybe in reduce the time sitting.

The walks have become more brisk but I have had less days of walking. Considering asking the physical therapist and the doctor if this range of activity would be appropriate at this stage of the surgery. Im thinking there is a need to have more mobility by stretching and this may be something do more frequently. The scar tissue I need to be more interactive with it and make it more flexible and follow the orders of the physical therapist who has been wonderful in helping and very informative .I want to thank my family, the doctor, God and friends for their help and love and cant be ignoring there kindness and contributions. Hope all out there are doing good and if there is questions I can help with please ask without boundaries. Wish all the best to everybody and stay happy with the wonderful time year we are witnessing. Best wishes to all of you.

Hey everybody hope you are all well and doing wonderful. It has been 19 weeks since surgery and the week has had some changes in some conditions. I have been more active at the gym and trained a bit stronger than usual but have had some tightness and abdominal pain since doing so.There has been numbness in the incision area and less sensitivity and feeling in the genitals which I hope is only a reaction to being more active and will be normal. Their is some discomfort in the perineum area but no sharp or extremely painful feelings that I have felt from this but there is a tightness to the area. Hopefully this is not a problem and was wondering if anybody else has experienced this post surgery or had similar things occur. It is appreciated if anybody has a story and thank you.

The discomfort though is not constant.Im going to ask the doctor and physical therapist if this is related to the scar tissue and muscle tone problems and if there is more I can do help this get better and stay away from things that make it flare. All things are good from what I can tell and want to thank all readers. Thank you to my family,God, friends, doctor and physical therapist and the staff for all their help and support they have given so kindly. If there are any questions or something anybody wants to ask please to do so and would be glad to be of any assistance if possible. Hope all of you are safe and happy and enjoying your days. Best wishes to all of you.

Hey everybody hope you are all doing good and it has been 20 weeks since surgery. This week was a bit different I had more duress physically and mentally and I felt more reactions to this I think with the surgery as I have had more tightness and soreness in the perineum and the feelings there have been between numb and tender. The area near the incision in the abdominal section has been numb and sore where it had been more sensitive but there has also been tightness associated with this. My hope is that this is the scar tissue and pelvic floor being adapted to more activity and that these feelings will get to more relaxed and less painful feelings. Im planning on asking the doctor and the physical therapist if this normal at this part of the surgery and if there is anything I can do to make it better and ease the painful and numb feelings which have been going on. My activity this week was not as much it has been but will do what i can to be more active as this I feel improves the overall health but try not to have it interfere with the surgery in anyway or shape.

If anybody else has gone through this please let me know it would be interesting to hear the story. This week I have had more morning erections but I have returned to sleeping on my side which makes the incision area sore in the morning and I can feel this so Im trying to sleep laying flat as not to aggravate this but it is is difficult when you sleep awkward. If anybody has questions please ask or if you want to to talk please contact me anytime. I want to thank the family, God, the doctor, the physical therapist and friends for their support and caring. Thank you to all listening and hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy the weather. Best wishes.

sjuliano

Hey everybody hope all is going well for you, it has been 21 weeks since surgery and there are new things to talk about. The past week i have had more more morning erections which is a positive but also there has been a diminished amount of sensitivity in the genitals and hope this is not a problem but is the body having to adjust and the area near the stomach incision also has lost some sensitivity. If anybody else has gone through please give an idea if you do of whether this is something that is expected. Possibly it may be due to the scare tissue and pelvic floor which in the perineum has seen some discomfort either with tight feeling or a burning feeling but was not lasting on the painful part. Physical range of motion and intensity of exercise has been more increased this past week and other than more tightness I have not noticed a big change in the pain it causes, maybe hoping to keep walking, lifting and moving about more often to keep overall health a priority so that the surgery stays healthy with this.

Sleeping has been a little different as I have gone to sleeping on my side again as I did before surgery but it causes some stomach discomfort so attempting to sleep flat on the back instead. Stretching is factor i need to concentrate on more and this I think may be of use to flexibility which is not at its greatest yet but not bad. Doing what i can to stay positive and hope that all is improving in the process and thankful for the support and care of everybody. Thank you to my family, God, doctor, physical therapist and friends and to all of you reading this. If anybody has something they want to ask please do so or if you have any advice it is appreciated. Hope all are enjoying this beautiful time of year and be safe. Best wishes to all of you.

Hello everybody hope all are doing wonderful, it has been 24 weeks since the surgery and the week was good. This week I went to run for the first time since surgery and was sore but not pain from the activity. Went at an easy pace but was comfortable. Saw the doctor and the physical therapist and both said to be active and that things were good. The scar tissue felt tender but was not completely painful which was positive and the doctor said that I was to be doing regular activities. The pelvic floor has had some different times when it is tighter than others but the physical therapist said that there were exercises to do which would aid in this and plan on these as regular routines. The staff were there amazing selves and very helpful as always. There has been a lack of sleep this week which made morning erections be different from each day but they have been more common than previously. The sensitivity has been dependent on the situation but there has been more sensitivity during the week than earlier which is a positive situation. The need to get regular sleep would be most likely be something to work at.

The care that I received and the support that has been given has been wonderful.I want to thank my friends, the doctor, God and family for all their help and caring. They have made this possible and are amazing in all their efforts. I need to keep my schedule of doing the necessary things for general health so that all things are where they should be and the need to be active and prudent. Thank you to all those listening and hope that if you have any questions please ask if I can be of any advice or help. I hope you all are enjoying the wonderful time of year and stay safe. Best wishes.

Hey everybody hope all is wonderful for you, it has been 25 weeks since the surgery and having a good week. There has been lots of time at jobs and my abdomen in the incision area has been sore and a little painful from lifting heavier objects but hopefully this is a strength issue and not a concern for the general health and safety of the operation in any manner. Started physical activities that more strenuous like walking, lifting, running and on the feet for hours without any rest. There has been several nights where I have not experienced an erection but there have been other days where there has been and without any pain but some numbness which is hopefully related to the scar tissue and can be resolved or that it is merely the body doing normal routines that is has not been accustomed to recently which it will be adapting to with strengthening. There has been tightness in the groin but no distinct pain which is a positive. The lower back and upper butt have been sore but that’s mostly due to activity I suppose and have to monitor this. If anybody else had this in their recovery please let me know it would be of interest and thank you. When sitting and more relaxed it appears to be that these are less pronounced but that is im supposing common in these instances.

The movement and activity has made new developments and hope they are what are meant to be and thank you to all those listening. I want to thank my friends, the doctor,God and my family for all their care and support which is amazing and makes all possible. Hope you all are doing great and will enjoy this time of year to all the fathers who we celebrate this week and their contributions. There will be more postings and will be listening to any questions that people may have to ask. Best wishes.

Hey everybody its been 26 weeks since surgery and hope all of you are good. This past week between work and the move to running I have felt continued tightness and discomfort in the groin and change in some feeling in the area. The genitals have been more contracted and have at times been slightly numb but this fluctuates. If anybody else has had this when they went back to more activity please let me know it would be of importance.

the perineum and the genitals both feel a little sore but hopefully this is the body adjusting to new things. There has been a lack of morning erections but there has been more night erections I have noticed. These are frequent but lack feeling often or are not full as they would be. The important thing is to remain calm and hopefully these will be okay. With spontaneous erections there has been some and this is a positive. i will continue to see what makes certain things feel the way they are and see if they can be adjusted for the most healthy behavior.

Thank you to all those listening and interested to hear from others in their experiences and hope that you are all having a wonderful time. I want to thank my family, the doctor ,God and friends for all that they have done and hope to give them all more appreciation for their care. Please ask any questions if you have any I would do what I could to answer them. Thank you to all and enjoy the beginning of the warmth we are experiencing. Best wishes76

Hello everybody it has been 27 weeks since surgery and having a tougher week. I have been suffering from a sinus problem and been at the job quite a bit which has been including heavy lifting. Started having tightness in the abdomen and have not had a morning erection in a week but hopefully this is part of the getting use to normal activity and also very diminished sensation has occurred. The perineum has been sore and the sensation there has been not as it was but that can be different depending ion the situation. Took time off of running and have been taking it much easier the rest of the week outside of the job, mostly been walking lightly to see if that is going to make any relaxation in the muscles as this may tighten them and contribute to the pelvic floor symptoms. I need to be more consistent with my stretching and breathing routine and this I’m sure will be important as I take it easier with other physical exercises. Also bowel movements have been strange as I m not needing to go to the bathroom as much as I was accustomed to doing. I will continue to work at these issue with the Doctor and the Physical Therapist and take their wonderful help.

With patience and the aid of those around me I’m hoping to keep getting better and feel okay. I want to thank my family, the doctor, God and my friends for their amazing support which cant be matched. I will keep posting and hope if anybody has questions please ask. If anybody has had similar experiences i would be interested to hear about them and would appreciate it greatly for sharing. I want to wish you all a wonderful holiday week and be safe and enjoy those around you. Best wishes.

Hello everybody it has been 28 weeks since the operation. This past week was uncomfortable for several reasons and those were pain and discomfort from the abdominal area and constipation which made me feel uneasy. during the week I had only 1 day where I had a morning erection but this could have been due to the feelings associated with the abdominal pains and the bloating that I have experienced. I have tried to remain cam during this as I have limited my activities to light walking but if the symptoms improve I plan starting more intensive physical activity to improve mobility. There has been quite a bit of tightness in the incision area and groin which I hope will be not a problem and will continue to work with the stretching exercises given by the physical therapist who has been amazing in her help. Sensation and lack of spontaneous erections has been not as common this week but that could be the result of the sick feelings from the stomach and the bloating. If anybody else has had these

experiences after their surgery please let me know as it would be of interest and thank you for listening and sharing.

Thank you to all those who are out there listening and hope you are doing good. The past weeks have been difficult with the not feeling able to have spontaneous erections and the general feeling of being somewhat sick or tired. This maybe only a result of straining or needed relaxation and will have to put more emphasis on exercise and the drills given to aid in this. Thank you to my friends , the doctor, God, family, and the physical therapist who have made this possible and are so caring. Hope all of you had a safe and spectacular holiday and enjoyed it with loved ones. I will continue to keep posting and please ask questions or comment if there is something i could be of assistance with and hope all are doing good. Best wishes.

Hey everybody I was wondering if anybody in their post surgery period got an inguinal hernia or had surgery for this condition following the operation. If you have please let me know if this affected you drastically or had any kind of changes to you. Thank you for listening. Best wishes.

Hey everybody its been 29 weeks since surgery and this has been a discouraging week. Found out Monday that I was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia and have not had regular bowel movements, appetite or physical activity in the past three weeks. Also my erections have been sporadic or weaker than they had been previously. Hoping this is not a serious problem and can be treated and there has been a change from sensation to numbness in the groin, perineum, stomach and general area. Im still unsure of what caused this and must seek out the explanation but if i can ensure the safety of the surgery then it will be okay. Have to turn to faith and pray that it will be okay. I want to thank all of you for listening and if anybody can share their experiences it would be of amazing use and benefit.

Hope all of you are having a good time and want to thank my family,Doctor, God and friends for their help. It has been a trying time and fearful that i have compromised my health and the surgery but must seek the positive and trust those who know. Thank you and I will continue to post any things that occur and that it can be of aid to any listeners. Best wishes.

Hey everybody got the best news almost possible today and that was the doctor said there was no hernia present and that the other opinion from the general doctor was due to a misunderstanding of the surgery in the groin region. This was awesome to hear and the pain that I have been experiencing is part of the pelvic floor issue which the physical therapist was wonderful in treating. I will continue to post but wanted to notify of this happening and hope you all have a wonderful time. Best wishes.

Hey everybody hope all is well with you and it has been 30 weeks since surgery. Thank you Michael for the words of encouragement it has been a kind of relief and wish you the very best with your recovery and if there is anything I can do to be there please ask. This week as I said the doctor said there was no hernia present and it had bee a misunderstanding with my general doctor the previous week. There continues to be discomfort in the area but hopefully this is something like soreness or involved with the pelvic floor issue. The physical therapist also saw me and treated me for intense agitation in my hip which may be playing a part in this uncomfortable time. In this it has been extremely important to have the amazing support of all those around. The last 2 days have seen morning erections which sorry to be graphic is a positive thing but during the day sensation and arousal have been less noticed. With both the mind and body at work here it has been a time to be thankful for the blessings I have been given and acknowledge this more explicitly. There has been some pain at the stomach and groin but this may be due to the muscle and pelvic floor and is something that can treated.

As these things can be sorted about and looked as to what to do and fix any issues got to be more involved with listening to what the body feels and make priorities to keep the mid in the appropriate place. Thank you to my family, the doctor, the therapist, God and my friends for their ongoing support which makes these things worthwhile. Thank you to all those out there listening and wish you a wonderful time and hope you are having fun this summer. If anybody has questions and would like to talk please do so and be safe in your adventures. Best wishes.

Hey everybody its been 31 weeks since surgery. The week has been trying i have not felt that hot in general but working at this. The news that i do not have a hernia is good but the symptoms that led me to seek the doctor has not been getting much better. The stomach is still bloated regardless of what I do, there has been pain through the right side of the abdomen and groin and the last week has seen the least erections and feelings but doing what I can to ease the mind and body at this time. The pain comes and goes but the sensation of it has no pattern that I can find. I have kept with the stretching and activation practices given by the physical therapist and these keep me physically working but have limited most other things until I feel better in general. The basic sex drive has been present but it feels somewhat weak but hopefully this is only a mental and not a physical response to what is going on.

Thank you to those listening as this been therapeutic and if anybody has experienced similar things please feel free to to discuss if you feel comfortable with that. I want to thank my family, the physical therapist, the doctor, God and my friends for their boundless support and care. Despite this have to find the positive things and look forward to getting more treatment to fix any of these underlying issues and improve the situation at this time. Hope all of you are doing spectacular and will continue to post.Have a wonderful time out there and enjoy the warmth we are having. Best wishes.

Hey everybody it has been 32 weeks since the surgery and the week has had good and new things. On Monday went to see the Doctor and he said there is Mo hernia and to start working at my job which he gave a letter of approval. My bloating has been lessened and my change in eating habits did have a problem on Saturday when I binge ate unhealthier foods in a large quantity but I must recognize this and to stop acting on these as this may be contributing to my feeling not okay and hope this has not caused any problem with the surgery as I will refrain from this in future instances. The bloating has gotten better somewhat but would say it is still not normal as infrequent bathroom trips do continue with constipation at times. Sleeping this week was okay but would like to feel more relaxed from it and there was only several days with morning erections which have bot been that strong but it was better than previous weeks recently. Saturday was a day I wanted to see if my clearance to be active would be okay and went on a hike with friends and there was no clear discomfort and have been lifting light objects to improve my health and there has not been any negative issues that are present when doing this. The hip and perineum and abdomen have all been somewhat numb and have lacked feeling and hope this will be taken care by doing work with the physical therapist who has been very generous and informative in her treatments. With the help Im getting I hope to get better and take responsibility in this situation and be committed.

The help of this writing is immense and want to thank all those listening and hope if you want to share anything please communicate anytime you want and if I can be of assistance in answering something it would be helpful in both aspects. I want to thank my family, the doctor, the therapist, God and my friends for everything they do to make this possible and wish to show them greater gratitude. Hope all of you have a wonderful time with loved ones and be safe. Best wishes.

Hey everybody it has been 33 weeks since surgery and the week has been interesting and full of events. This past week I started routine physical therapy at the office and it has made my leg and groin less painful but Im still experiencing the bloating in the stomach but at a lesser degree than previous weeks. Sleep has been still uncomfortable but had my first morning erection in weeks and this was positive to see. with arousal there still is a lack of this and spontaneous erections have not been happening but this may be due to the muscles tissue problems which are being treated. been several days where I have experienced more sensation in the genitals but it has been mixed with being uncomfortable but this hopefully will helped by the treatments. I have been working at my job lifting objects and have to be careful not to do too many straining movements but Im glad to be active with other people. Also there I have been making an effort to have a routine of exercise that makes me more flexible and endure activities.

To all those listening I hope you are all doing amazing and keep enjoying a fabulous time of year with loved ones and those near to you. I want to thank my family, the doctor, the physical therapist, God and my friends for their care and love which makes everything possible and worthwhile to do. If anybody has questions please ask and hope to be of any kind of assistance or can help with a question and do not be afraid to ask. Take care and be safe. Best wishes.

Hey everybody im sorry for the late posting but it was a busy week but it has been 34 weeks since the surgery. The last week was filled with activity as I returned top work which at times put strain mentally and physically and also continued with physical therapy which has been invaluable in making me more functional. There continues to be pain in the groin, perineum, and back but these at times have been much less painful or have had good activity. A positive has been having some nights with morning erections that have not been present for nearly two months and this I see as a step in the right direction. My arousal and erections in general continue to be somewhat less positiver but there is an improvement over what has been occurring. The stomach and bloating issues are still there but are less than they have been and hopefully these are being alleviated as much as they can be. At work lifting objects and activity have been consistent and have not had any clear pain with this.

I want to thank all of you for listening and I will post this week and im sorry for the being late on the post. I want to thank my family, the doctor, the physical therapist, God and my friends for their wonderful support and care. Hope all of you are having an enjoyable summer and have loved ones near. If anybody has questions or wants to discuss something please ask. Best wishes.

Hey everybody it has been 35 weeks since surgery. The past week has seen drastic improvement in some areas and some questions as to what is going on with the body and mind but have to stay positive in this process. The bloating and abdominal pain have been greatly lessened but sensation and arousal remain inconsistent and have not been where they were before the current issues have been present. They have improved some and this is good to be seeing hope in the symptoms get better than they have been at this time. The lower back and hip pain have been lowered but they flare after certain activities at work but workouts have been much more comfortable and without any undue strain. Sleeping this week was much better but some nights there was pain the back after sleeping. The ability to have erections in the morning increased this week but they were lacking sensation and were not long lasting but were improved from previous times. It looks as if things are getting better at a pace but will need to keep at the stretching and flexibility regimen along with steps at relaxation which has been difficult to have with this uncertainty and discomfort. Despite this the improvements are noticeable and a reason to be thankful and glad.

If anybody has experienced anything like this with what they had happen to them please contact me as it maybe informative and thank you. I want to thank my family, the doctor, the physical therapist, God and my friends for their support and love they give. Hope all of you are doing good and if there are any questions you have or would like to talk please do so. Want to you all to stay happy and hope that you can be comforted in any ordeals you may encounter. Have a fun time in the warmth of the summer season and with those you love around you. Best wishes.

Hey everybody it has been 36 weeks since surgery and hope all of you are doing good. This past week saw significant improvement in some areas of the recovery. After physical therapy I had increased mobility and less pain the in the leg and more sensation in the genitals than was previously had in the last couple months. With the arousal there were several times that it has happened this past week which has not happened since my stomach and groin pain has been happening so this is a positive. Sleep has been more difficult but im glad there has been more feeling instead of no feeling being present at times. Despite the continuing stomach issues and lack of sensation the slight improvement is good. If anybody else has had anything like this I would be interested in their experience and thank you for your sharing.

With the work being done to improve how I feel and the care of my mental state and trying to be less stressed is also important and can notice that this can be a piece of feeling healthier. I hope everybody is enjoying the holiday safely. I would like to thank my family, the doctor, the physical therapist, God and friends for all their help and care.I will post soon and hope it does good for other people in any capacity .If anybody needs anything to discuss please ask if there is something I can be of aid with and wish you all a good time with lived ones and those closest. Best wishes.

Hey everybody hope you are good, it has been 37 weeks since the surgery and all those out there sorry for the late posting. The past week was strenuous with school and other chores but there have been improvements in the issues I have been experiencing. The bloating of the stomach as continued but has fluctuated between not being bad and uncomfortable. Physical activity has been improving as I have not been as a weak as before and can do more tasks without being exhausted. I will update this week later on how things have been in more details and want to thank all those who are reading or listening.

If anybody wants to ask questions or has experienced any of these things please let me know and I would be happy to talk. I want to thank my family, the doctor, the physical therapist, God and my friends for their support and love. Thank you and hope all are having a wonderful time with their loved ones and relatives. Best wishes.

Hey everybody sorry for last weeks late posting and it has been 38 weeks since the surgery. This past week saw a easing of back pain and a return to running very lightly which has so far not aggravated the hip area. The bloating in the stomach has been mixed with different feelings at different times. The numbness and contraction of the genitals has seen a little improvement but for short time frames but hope that will continue to improve with the aid of physical therapy which im very grateful to the physical therapist and her help. Morning erections have been more frequent but are not regular and have very little sensation in them but have improved at times but there remains little arousal response and almost no spontaneous erections during the day. Going the bathroom also has been difficult but have been able to go several times over the past couple days which is an improvement on not going for days in stretches. Have to stay positive and be thankful for this opportunity to be better in time.

I want to thank all of you who listening and hope to hear from somebody on there experiences and if there is anything which is similar or have gone through. I want to thank my family, doctor , physical therapist, God and friends for their support and caring that they have given so abundantly. If anybody has questions please ask or just want to talk im willing to be there. Hope everybody is having a good time and is being with those they love. Will be posting soon and thank you to you all and be safe. Best wishes.

Hey everybody Im sorry for the late posting and it has been 40 weeks since surgery. The past couple weeks have been up and down in how i have felt. The bloating and numbness across the body continue and pain the lower back continues but has been less than previous weeks.Concerning the erections and arousal both continue to be not very good but have had some feeling come back into the genitals and they are not as tight as before. I continue to run with the supervision of the physical therapist who has been unbelievably kind and helpful with everything and this has been at least something to point to in improvement. The stretching regimen is making me stronger I can feel considering all other factors that have been going on recently. There remains a lack of morning erections which had begun to come back but have not been happening in the past week or so I would say. With all the help and support im receiving I need to be willing to not expect to be fully okay in a short amount of time as the problems have been going on for awhile but there is always room for hope and that has been noticed in the lat couple weeks with certain improvements. If anybody else has gone through anything like this please give a post or Im willing to speak, thank you for listening to all of you. I have noticed though that the sensation seems to stem from my hip to the lower back area and that is what has been tight and uncomfortable.

Since this began I want to thank all of the people who have listened and hope it can be used by others in some fashion. I want to thank my family, God, physical therapist, doctor and my friends for all their care and support they have provided. I wish all of you the very best and hope you have a good time with those who you care about. I will post soon and thank you to everybody out there. Best wishes.

Hey everybody im sorry for the late posting and it has been 42 weeks since surgery. Hope all of you are doing good. There has been more morning erections which is up to about 3 days a week sand some sensation has been coming around but remains for a short time and there has been some increase in arousal. I continue to have bloating, back pain and pain emanating from the hip pelvis area and hope that this improves. With the help of the physical therapist it has been improving but is not yet where it was when the symptoms began to occur. My back continues to get tingling feelings but sleep has been more consistent. With good treatments and activities there will be positive changes.

With all this I want to try and pinpoint what is causing these issues but it may be more than one underlying problem but hopefully it can identified. I want to thank my family,God, the doctor, the physical therapist and my friends for all that they do make things amazing. I hope somebody out there is being helped by this and if anybody wants to talk or has something to say please feel free to that and thank you for listening.I wish you all a good time with loved ones and to be having a wonderful time of year with them. Best wishes.

Hello everybody im sorry I have not posted in a long time but wanted to thank all those who have been out there reading. It has been one year today since I had the surgery. It has been a journey to this point and things have been going okay but strangely lately. Since my last posting the lack of sensation and fullness in the penis and genitals remains and also the lack of arousal has been prevalent. There has been some improvements as im breathing easier again, my bowel movements have become more normal and im beginning to become more active at the orders of the Doctor. There has been pain in the tail bone, hip and lower abdomen where good sensations had once been but God willing these will be only temporarily not being felt. The Doctor saw me as of last month and said the artery was still good and that the issues I had been experiencing may be a mixture of low testosterone and nerve problems which hopefully can be addressed. I would still tell anybody that the surgery is worth trying after all the suffering that i went through before having the surgery last year. I pray and hope for anybody wither suffering from the same problems and hope that those who have had the surgery will continue to improve and return to having the life that they would want with a healthy body and a mind at ease. To those thinking of getting the operation please ask anything you want and I would enjoy sharing any advice that I could offer to you.

The experiences of the last year have been instrumental in teaching me the value of all that I have been given and that it is a gift to be treasured from all the help i have received. I want to thank my family, God, the physical therapist , the Doctor, his wonderful staff and my friends for all their amazing support and care they have given. There are no words that can describe what they have they have made possible and I want to thank them with all my deepest appreciation. I hope all those listening will have a wonderful holiday time with the ones they love and wish you all the greatest blessings. I will get to posting frequently again and be more in depth about how things are going. For today I wanted to thank all those who have been there before and after the surgery and to start being active with all of you. Thank you everybody and have a wonderful time. Best wishes.

Hello everybody it has been 1 year and 2 weeks since I had surgery. The past two weeks I have been attempting to be more active as the doctor advised me and have returned to workouts that include running and strength building. My diet continues to need improvement which I know would contribute to better overall health. The erections have been happening in the morning again with the aid of nightly viagra doses but they do lack sensation and fulness. This though is a huge improvement since the summer when even with the nightly viagra erections were infrequent. My desire has increased slightly which I take as a positive. Spontaneous erections though continue to be some what infrequent and hopefully will return to where they were. There continues to be bloating, pain in my perineum and hip along with discomfort in the tailbone region. Im still waiting to get my blood tests because of the need for insurance and maybe these can show what may be going on.

For all of you listening I thank you for your time and care. I want to thank my family, the doctor, the physical therapist, the wonderful, staff, God and my friends for their wonderful support that has made everything possible and worthwhile. I hope all those whop have gone through surgery or are thinking about it please ask any questions you would like and I would be happy to help in any way possible with a conversation. I wish you all blessed new year and a safe time with those you love. Hope all things continue to get better for you all and God bless. Best wishes.

Hello everybody it has been 1 year and six weeks since I had surgery. The past month has been a time of some different changes from what had previously been going on. As to the erections they continue to be infrequent and not as full as they were a year ago but they have improved from the summer when I was having no erections. The fullness remains elusive most times even when flaccid as my genitals seem to be contracted more often than after the surgery and more so than even 7 months ago when my largest issues began. Sensation has also been reduced from a year ago but some of it recently has returned but is not always present. I think of this a good sign that things can come back with time and work at recovering. The pain and sensation under my rib cage on the right side can be felt and for some reason effects the sensation in my penis and genitals also with a feeling of discomfort or sensation from the tailbone area which appears to be connected. Those these seem strange they do effect the erections and sensations I get. I have returned to running regularly and being more active which the Dr. Goldstein said would be advisable. My injury with my hip may be contributing to the pain in the perineum or the lack of sensation that I feel which I would want to get checked on along with my hormone levels that Dr. Goldstein ordered but im waiting to go get with insurance that I need to hear from. My desire is there but the physical responses that would be related to this have not been evident which I would figure is related to hormones which may be a treatment and help with the issues. Bloating and lack of sleep are still happening but have been reduced along with less stress I feel which God willing can be solved and make things in general better in health. Im also interested in the idea of the smooth muscle relation spoken of in the forum and as I have felt erections for several days after an injection but these recedes after a week or several days. The process continues and hopefully it will get better and thank you to all those who are listening.

I want to thank the Doctor, his staff, God , the Physical Therapist, my friends and family who have made this all possible. With them it has been difficult but worth it and I hope to get better for all that they have done striven to help with. If anybody has questions or wants to talk please contact me anytime and do not be afraid as this is a sensitive but meaningful subject and we should all feel safe speaking about this. I hope all of you a blessed time with loved ones in the new year and to be safe with them. God bless you all. Best wishes.

Hello everybody it has been 1 year and 10 weeks since I had surgery. the last month has seen some changes that are undetermined if they are good or not as good. The extreme bloating that began in July persists but has decreased dramatically from where it was. The sharp pains that I was getting from my lower back and tailbone have been coming and going but also the good sensation that had been occurring that was linked to my groin has also somewhat been back faintly.I have recently been able to have several spontaneous erections in the past several weeks which had not happened in months. I also have had several morning erections with the aid of the nightly viagra doses. I do continue to have tightness in the abdomen , hip, back and groin which for some reason appear to be linked but I do not know how. The groin and genitals are often more contracted but on a couple of occasions have been full similar to a couple months following surgery when things were at their best in terms of feeling okay. Im doing what I can to stay positive and waiting to get to some lab tests done that were suggested by the doctor so that we can somehow figure out what is going on. Going into more exercise has also been difficult but has been a calming influence at the advice of the doctor and it is a way to see if that is an influence on any of the symptoms.

I want to thank my friends, the doctor, the physical therapist, the wonderful staff, God and my family for they have made it all possible and for their care. Thank you to all those listening and hope this may be of use to you and wish all those considering the surgery or those who have gone through the surgery a blessing and best of circumstances. If anybody wants to talk or discuss please call at 714-299-6559 or post a message and I will respond as soon as I get the chance if i can give any advice or plain talk. Hope all of you are having a blessed year with those you love and are having a good time and be safe. Best wishes.

Hey everybody it has been 1 year and 13 weeks since I had the surgery. The past few weeks have been interesting and have had some things change. Recently the lack of sensation in the genitals has become less numb and more receptive to stimulation but has not returned to normal yet. There continues to be pain in the groin, back and hip which seem connected in some fashion but do not know until I can receive testing on the area. My energy level comes and goes depending on the day and im attempting to be more active with exercise routinely. The bloating and stomach discomfort persists but doing what im able to do to diagnose this. There is definite desire but lately a lack of physical response to this and this may be due to the hormonal aspect of what could be going on with the body. If anybody has went thorough this and has experienced similar feelings please let me know I would be happy to have a talk anytime. I plan on going to see the doctor when im able t have information to give him and I want to than everybody for listening.

With the constant attempt to get better this place gives a person a place to voice what going on with individuals who have been in the same situation. It is a blessing to have this and thank you to all those out there and best wishes to all who are going through something. I want to thank my family, the doctor, his staff, God, my friends and the physical therapist for all their help for without them it would not be possible and their gift is irreplaceable. Please if anybody wants to get in contact please call or a send a message and I will be glad to be of any assistance or merely to have a talk. Hope all of you are having a wonderful time with those you love. Best wishes.

Hello everybody it has been a year and 14 weeks since I had surgery. The past week has seen dramatic changes to specific things. The lack of sleep has gotten better but remains lower than usual but my energy level has been improving. I have reintroduced nightly viagra and cialis which I had not been taking. The effects have been to have morning erections more frequently but they lack much sensation, this an improvement from having no morning erections occurring. The bloating in the stomach remains but is much less pronounced than it has been since the beginning of last summer when it was at its worst levels. These have been the things that are fluctuating at this time. If anybody has experienced this after surgery please reach me or lets talk if anyone is okay talking about these symptoms. If anybody needs to talk im willing to speak anytime that is of use to somebody. Hope all of you who are going through this or are thinking of the surgery are doing well and are able to be continually getting better and finding help amongst different sources.

Thank you to all people who are listening and hope you are fine. I want to thank my friends, the doctor, the physical therapist, the staff, God and my family for all that they have done and made this possible to happen. Their care and love have been amazing. Hope all of you are having a good time with those you love and can find joy with them. Best wishes.

Hey everybody it has been 1 year and 16 weeks since surgery and the past week has been having some developments.I had more spontaneous erections during the day and the adding of cialis at night again has been allowing more erections to happen in the morning which was not happening during past weeks. The bloating in the stomach continues and there is a pain that happens from my back to my leg and this may be related to the lack of feeling in my erections but there has been more feeling than in the past months which is positive. Im waiting to hear from blood results that the doctor made and will inform how they go. Im sorry for making infrequent postings but will be updating more frequently. Thank you to all those listening and hope you are all doing okay and if anybody has questions please contact me anytime.

It has been difficult sorting this situation with the underlying health problems but I will be seeing the doctor to figure what to do next in this process. I want to thank my family, the doctor, God ,the physical therapist, my friends and the staff for all their care as they make this all possible. I hope all of you are enjoying your time with your loved ones and are taking care of each other. Hope you all stay positive and know that there are people you can speak to about things and have a blessed time. Best wishes.

Hello everybody it has been 1 year and 17 weeks since I had surgery and hope all of you are doing good. The past week I have had pain and discomfort in in my stomach near my incision as well as pain in the leg which also feels connected to my groin but this is not consistent. I have not taken cialis every not and I have taken that instead of viagra as my supply of viagra has been spent. Bloating and discomfort continue but are not as pronounced as earlier in the year or when the symptoms began. I have had several spontaneous erections they have not had feeling or any arousal reasons to explain why they happen when they do. I have not taken the cialis every night as i fall asleep some nights before remembering to take it.

If anybody has question or needs to talk please let me know and I would be happy to have a talk. recently I got blood and hormone tests back and there has been some levels that were not normal and I plan to go and have an appointment with the doctor soon. I want to thank my friends, the doctor, the physical therapist, God, the staff and my friends for all that they have done and for caring as they have made all this possible by their doing. Hopefully all these issues can be fixed and explained. Hope all of you are enjoying your time with those you love and are finding assistance in the things that may be trouble for you and stay positive. Be safe and have a good time with all that you may be doing. Best wishes.

Hello everybody it has been 1 year and 18 weeks since I had surgery and the last week has been a little different from recent weeks. During the last week i have had more spontaneous erections during the day which has been a good thing but they still feel sometime not full of sensation but this God willing is a positive thing. There continues to be pain the abdomen, hip , back and near the ribs but these are not as painful as they had been in the past. With this the bloating happens but is not as large as it was earlier when it first began. I have not taken cialis every night due to falling to asleep early but hopefully this is not an issue. Morning erections do not happen everyday but they have returned on some days which was not occurring for months since July of last year and this a good change. the level of arousal continues to be somewhat low but this may be part of the hormone issues I have and I want to visit the doctor to discuss these despite not having all the blood tests done yet. I want thank all those who are listening I hope that this is useful in anyway and if anybody wants to talk or has anything they would want to ask please contact me anytime and i will be happy to have a discussion on these things.

Hello Everybody it has 1 year and 20 weeks since surgery and the past week has been a learning time to see how things are acting. The positive news is that I have a had a spontaneous erections happen but they seem to happen at odd times and do not correspond to be aroused in anyway. There has been some pain in my right groin but hopefully that is fine. My stomach pains and bloating are continuing but I plan on seeing a doctor as I have been put on medi-cal for insurance. Planning to see the Doctor soon and hope things are going okay. Having to stay positive and think of the progress of not having erections for months at times and then having them again. If possible im going to get more blood tests done to see if the hormones are being responsible for any distress that is happening. Thank you to all those who are listening and if you have experienced any of these symptoms please lets talk about it anytime.

Thank you to everybody and hope all of you are doing great and if you are having any problems that you will be getting relief and improving. I want to thank my friends, the doctor, the physical therapist, his amazing staff, God and my family as they make this all possible and have been supportive in all things. If anybody has any questions please reach me anytime if I can of any assistance. Hope all of you are having a blessed time with those you love and have a good time. Best wishes.

Hello everybody it has 1 year and 28 weeks since having surgery. I have not posted in awhile, Im sorry for late the posting. Last week I visited with Doctor Goldstein for the first time since November. My blood results came back normal except for a high level of sex hormone binding globulin. With this it makes it difficult from what I was told for testosterone to be made to use by the body and might be a reason for the way I have felt recently. With this the Doctor feels that there are underlying problems with what is happening. He has recommended that I try using a medicine called Clomid which boosts testosterone and I am considering trying this for next 6 months to check if it makes a difference in how I feel. Other than that the bloating and pain in my back continue but after seeing the Physical Therapist my back has felt much better and Im so thankful for that as I have more range of motion and can go through activity without pain being a problem. With this schedule to do things which may help I feel positive and know that things will get better God willing. I have back pain and in my right hip there is also discomfort but this can be treated to give more sensation in the groin that is not painful and more relaxed. I have had some morning erections and some more senses of arousal recently which is better. It has been difficult to do this and hopefully this will continue to improve with the new treatment and healthier activities to do. If anybody needs to talk or has questions please ask or have had experiences like these.

I want to thank you all who are reading and hope you are all doing well. I want to thank the doctor, his staff, God, the physical therapist, my friends and family for that they have done as they have made all this possible and have been great. Hope all of you who are suffering from something can find advice or help here and will seek out discussing this with other individuals. We are all in a similar state and hope to find solutions to what we are experiencing. Hope all of you are doing well and have a great time with those you love and hold dear. Please seek out help and know you there are resources for you to use and people who can share with you.God Bless you all and be safe.Best wishes.

Thanks for the support on my post! I hope things are well with you and improving. I do have a question for you..

Have you noticed lack of sex drive or horniness related with the ED?

I’ve noticed that the days where my erections are best are when my testosterone feels especially high that day. Overall though, it feels like I’ve completely lost my horniness or drive and I think if I really was horny the erection would follow. I’m starting to think I have a hormone problem.

Can you relate to any of this?

Yes I have had the same issue you are discussing. Especially there are days when I have no sexual urges but I know that Im aroused but nothing is happening. This has improved and there has been some signs that it would be hormone related. Im currently getting blood tests and I will let you know how they look. With your issue is it that you feel not interested or that you are aroused and nothing happens in your bodies response to what you would normally feel or act?

Hello everybody hope all is good for you out there. It has been 9 weeks since the surgery and things have changed here and there. The past week I have had more sensation in the penis and genitals but it can come and go at time but it is a promising development. It has been similar to the period of time about week 4 which is good so far. The stomach area around the incision can become slightly tender but no real pain to speak of. Im sorry to be so personal but went and masturbated for the second time since surgery and it was more erect then during the first time which was shortly after clearance from the Doctor about week 6 I would say. Went to the gym for the first time and walked an elliptical and lifted light weights and taking it slow with getting into a normal routine of activities.

There has been a strange change and I have been getting headaches and dizziness at time which Im not sure are related to the recovery but I had never experienced this before or after surgery. It comes and goes and hope it is not a complication. Have tried lifting objects again which has been good and bad but should use more discretion with this as I do not want to strain any weakened muscle groups. I feel like i have been more active with walking and interaction with people which Im glad to be situating to be more normal and not apprehensive with the recovery as I was at earlier times. With things as they are it will take time and striving to be normal but staying the course is part of the process. Thank you to the Doctor, Family, God, Friends and everybody out there. Wish all of you the best and will keep posting for anybody who wants to read or listen. If there is any questions or things I can help with please dont hesitate to ask.

Hey everybody im sorry for the missing weekly update I was lacking a computer it has been 22 and 23 weeks since surgery but i do wish that everybody had a wonderful holiday weekend and enjoyed. The past two weeks have seen different occurrences some good and some not so good but doing what I can to be making things better and safe. The previous week i began feeling much more spry and able to walk around and my energy was more regular than anytime since surgery but went and celebrated too much during the weekend with food, alcohol and lack of sleeping which threw my body into being uncomfortable. On tuesday I ate and binged on junk food and unhealthy choices which made me severely sick for two days which I hope did not cause any effects on the surgery or in basic health and have to be careful with actions that I was more accustomed to doing but need to most assuredly be more vigilant of healthier attitudes. During those days i did not have an erection and did not take any nightly viagra or cialis but since have started to be more ambulatory as I was in bed mostly during being sick at the time. The hope is that there is no injuries from this and will need to ask the doctor when i go for an appointment which I look forward to seeing everybody at the doctors. They were so helpful as they always are with things and with my constant questions and concerns which they have no match in their care. Also looking at getting into more demanding exertion with training and possible strengthening exercises as explained by the physical therapist who has been wonderful in the recovery process and informative.

Thank you to all those listening and if there are questions you want ask or have a talk more than happy to be there anytime and it would be beneficial experience on both sides of the conversation. i will be sure to keep posting and thank you for the understanding and place where people can discuss this in a free and understanding community. Wish everybody a safe and lovely time and to be positive despite difficult circumstances.I want to thank my family, doctor,God,friends as they make everything possible with their support and caring. Thank you to all of you and be safe. Best wishes.
